Our melatonin is a natural supplement, identical to the melatonin our body produces, and it acts similarly. While it can be found in foods, there is generally not enough to receive therapeutic benefit from whole foods that contain melatonin. Supplementation can help induce sleep, as well as increase the quality and duration of sleep.
